This Connect IQ data field simulates this metabolic balance on the fly. By setting your exact VLamax and VO₂max from an INSCYD or diagnostic metabolic report, the mathematical simulation dynamically integrates your instantaneous power output to approximate the blood lactate concentration curve.

It provides key pacing feedback for micro-bursts and anaerobic repeat capacity, helping you understand exactly how deep you have gone and when your muscles are clear and ready for the next match.

Configuring Your App

  1. Open the Garmin Connect IQ app on your phone.
  2. Navigate to Lactate (INSCYD-Sim) Settings.
  3. Enter your specific VLamax (mmol/L/s) and VO2max (ml/min/kg) values from your latest metabolic test.
  4. Save settings. The data field will automatically recalibrate its clearance curves to your physiology.
